Break Ups

Break ups are probably the hardest, especially if you’ve fallen hard. Everyone reacts differently during a relationship: some people need to be loved while other need to love. I cannot stand long-distance because I am extremely jealous and actually very clingy (never thought I’d be clingy). It’s not because I need them, it’s because I’ve grown to them. I would consider myself independent and say relationships aren’t necessary, but when I fall for someone, they become my best friend. I don’t like other girls talking to him and I don’t like him going somewhere without me knowing where. Actually, I don’t really like him being far away from me. It might be because I have major trust issues. You hear people saying “You have to learn to trust blah blah.” I can’t trust, especially with my past boyfriends. It’s not like I dont trust my current boyfriend, but I just don’t trust the future, you know? That’s why, when he’s going off to UCLA while I might go to USF in the future, I’m going to end it as soon as possible… I mean, why avoid the inevitable? I know 99% that we’d break up in the future anyways. I’ll be happier in college because I won’t have to worry about him, and he’ll be happier because I won’t upset him.

Theme: Cavalcade

Lost opportunities, lost possibilities, feelings we can never get back. That’s part of what it means to be alive. But inside our heads — at least that’s where I imagine it — there’s a little room where we store those memories. A room like the stacks in this library. And to understand the workings of our own heart we have to keep on making new reference cards. We have to dust things off every once in awhile, let in fresh air, change the water in the flower vases. In other words, you’ll live forever in your own private library.
